![]() In the game you have no weapons beyond a single survival knife (which is more for collecting resources than killing anything) but you are thrown into a world with colossal ‘leviathans’ that are even bigger than the literal submarine you can build every single moment can be a challenge that’s genuinely made easier by the upgrades you create but if your not careful you can still get destroyed by that sneaky crab-squid you didn’t notice while you were picking up that lost log from the other survivors. Subnautica is a game where the world can be terrifying but not in a horror game way, but in a way that gives you a great sense of achievement when you complete something. Not that the £ per hour of game play is the best way to value a game but a good point to make. Not bad for the £10ish I paid for it a few years ago. ![]() Now this may not actually seem like a lot for a game I heartily recommend however in those three playthroughs I have amassed about 80 hours of game play.
